1/2" slim box wrench designed for hex head nut/washer system used in 5/16" rail bolt kits for attaching handrails to walls, joining fittings, and attaching handrails to newel posts. Works with 12mm or 1/2" hex head nuts. The bolt wrench can be used in one of three ways. It can drive the handrail bolt into the pre-drilled hole in the handrail. Once the rail bolt has been attached, the wrench can start the nut onto the end of the handrail. It can also be used to install the handrail once the nut has been started. Unlike a strap wrench, the bolt wrench can be held from both ends for easy tightening and loosening. Tightening nuts and bolts is an important part of stair maintenance. Loose posts can easily become dislodged over time.
